Maintenance Assistant - £10 per hour
Full-time - 37.5 hrs pw incl. some weekend working

The Cinnamon Care Collection are proud to be opening their first care village in  Hextable, Kent.  

Emerson Grange is a brand new 85-bedroom care home that will provide the most luxurious surroundings and the very best care and support. As part of the development there are also 47 luxurious retirement apartments - Emerson Park -  which will have access to the range of first-class village facilities.

We are looking for a friendly and willing Maintenance Assistant to work alongside the Maintenance Manager and Support Services Manager. The main function of this role is to support and assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining all areas within the home and Apartments on a daily basis. The Maintenance Assistant’s primary responsibility is to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the residents whilst being considerate and compassionate to their needs. 

You will need to be a hands-on team player with sound organisational skills. Part of your role will be to  prepare vacant rooms for new residents, and by responding to and resolving concerns promptly.

You will need to reliable and hard working in this role - and flexibility in required working hours is beneficial. 

Job Requirements

Main Responsibilities

1. Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the home including any faults or repairs which may need to be corrected within your capability and company guidelines.

2. Give support to all heads of departments in looking at areas that may need altering or improving and perform all preventative maintenance tasks to the best of your ability.

3. Ensure that the home is kept to the agreed maintenance standards.

4. Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests and concerns raised by residents, family members and team members according to the homes reporting maintenance request log or system.

5. Take receipt of deliveries and store items or good pertaining to maintenance.

6. Ensure that all allocated machinery is kept safe and in working order.

Previous experience of general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry and electrical would be advantageous.
